She's known for her YouTube videos from the "People's Bridge" and broadcasting from bridges over the Kennedy Expressway with signs facing oncoming traffic, typically promoting Qanon. According to this obituary, Nick died on September 5th, 2021. An Anti-vaxxer through and through, but he changed his mind on his death bed. And then he died of COVID less than a month later, but while he was on his death bed he had a message for us: Hal is Nick's father: FYI Hal was fully vaccinated back in April. According to this twitter post, Pretty Ben lost his life to COVID. He didn't give any political or philosophical reasons for refusing to get vaccinated, but he was clearly against it and paid the price. Pretty Ben was obviously a flamboyant character and you can just see him waving his finger as he posts against getting the vaxx. Was he thinking about getting vaccinated? According to this obituary and this story, Jane died Sept 3, 2021 of COVID. She was a nurse practitioner and professor at Samford University, teaching Nursing. She was the founder of the Emergency Nurse Practitioner program at Samford. Perhaps it's time to think about putting epidemiology and virology into the curriculum for nursing school? How did she feel about the COVID vaccine? She certainly didn't want any "fact checking". Somehow she was alarmed at the thought of volunteer community org members knocking on doors. Wait, are there really volunteer community org members in this country? Anyway, she died of complications due to COVID. Apparently her son and husband are sick as well. Rob has had a "stroke" according to friends posts. COVID? quite possible. RIP Jane.

It was too late. According to this obituary, Kevin died on August 24, 2021. Kevin was just enough of an anti-vaxxer to not get vaccinated. He wasn't much of a "pusher". However, after he was hospitalized he had regrets and changed his mind, but it was too late to save him. It's not too late for you! So, why didn't Kevin just get vaccinated? Kevin only hinted at his anti-vaxxer" status. According to this story, Jason Vice, an Alabama State Trooper, died of COVID-19. He leaves behind a wife and two kids. Typically, stories about law enforcement officers don't dig into their vaccination stance. But I do. Jason was a full on conspiracy minded anti-vaxxer. Here are a few Facebook posts announcing his position on the vaccination matter: Here he asks us to "think about it". It takes a normal human being 2 seconds to dismiss this as paranoia. And for some reason he likes to conflate two completely separate issues: He also thinks the vaccine is bunk. Not mentioning the severity of those infections (unlike his own): So now Jason is dead, and he leaves his family behind. What sucks is that the story talks about Jason's "sacrifice and devotion by serving and protecting the citizens of Alabama.” Well, he should have made the same sacrifice and devotion to his family and gotten vaccinated. According to news sources (just Google it), COVID was the leading cause of death among active duty officers in 2020 and 2021. In fact, in 2020 it outpaced all of the other causes combined. According to this obituary and this obituary, Kenneth and Kay died within 5 days of each other. Kenneth was a vigilant anti-vaxxer, but he redeems himself in the end telling everyone to get vaccinated because it's not worth the pain. If this doesn't convince you to get vaccinated, nothing will. Suzette was and still is the vocal anti-vaxxer of the pair since Dan didn't post much of anything online. Suzette sure did have a lot to say and post about COVID and the vaccine! And I'll give her this, she didn't resort to just reposting memes like most of our entries. She told us in her own words what she thinks: She posted another rant on the 23rd. July 29, 2022 Update below: According to this story, old Fred is sick in the hospital with COVID. A little investigation into Fred shows that he pushes every conspiracy lie he can. We'll be watching to see if you make it, Fred. So this guy gave a "sermon" on May 30, 2021, in which 1) he suggested the Qanon conspiracy-of-baby-eating-Democrats was real, especially among the "Hollywood elite". 2) He claimed COVID-19 is a hoax. 3) The election was stolen from Donald Trump. Update: Original video of the sermon was deleted. Here is a homemade copy of the part of the sermon where he discusses the vaccine. (We're trying to find the rest of the crazy sermon): I'm having a difficult time rooting for this guy to pull through. Is that wrong? But hey, there's a chance a brush with death could change him, right? Get well, Fred. Update: It seems that Fred has made a full recovery. Fred is still serving on the Volusia County Council. He received almost $40k in campaign contributions, seen here when he was running for County Council. Can't we do something to help these people? Melissa wasn't a pusher of anti-vaxx views like other entries here, but like a lot of Anti-vaxxers, she was proud enough to make a profile frame to express her freedom to be dumb. According to social media posts (below), she died Sept 7, 2021. She was proud to free to not do the right thing: Like I said, she wasn't pushing her views on her Facebook profile. She mostly was using Facebook to arrange Pure Romance MLM parties. Apparently, she did quite well with this. However, she did get concerned about her health, and was self-aware enough to know she might have a problem with COVID given her baseline health conditions, and so she turned to Facebook for some advice: Facebook came to the rescue: So the concerned Facebook citizen elaborated: Wait, what? Maybe it's just me, but I think she should've asked, I don't know, her DOCTOR? I don't think people should being taking medical advice from random yahoos on Facebook. Especially if their profile picture looks like this; I think what this guy was referring to, in his own laymen terms, was the cytokine storm a COVID infection can trigger. According to this story, Richard Linderman, an ex-con who founded "Incarceration to Inspiration" to give back to the community, was an admitted anti-vaxxer. 14 members of his family became sick, including his 8-months pregnant daughter who is still in the ICU, according to the story. “I’m trying to get the reality of this story out there for the skeptics like myself that thought they’d never get it,” Linderman said. “This past week was an eye-opener.” Linderman explained that “all of the back and forth of the vaccine”, including the “parade on TV about getting the vaccine”, kept him from becoming vaccinated. “What I truly didn’t know is that it would’ve kept the severity of the symptoms away and I might not be fighting for my life, so that’s on me. Once we’re able to my entire family will get vaccinated,” Linderman said. I researched Richard a bit and discovered that he'd just gotten out of prison in 2020 after serving 7 years of an 8 year sentence. Once he got out of prison he dedicated his life to helping others, formed "Incarceration To Inspiration", and became a well respected member of the Tri-city area. Hopefully he continues to be an inspiration by INSPIRING KNUCKLEHEADS TO GET VACCINATED. RIP Richard.

According to this story, Jorge Lis, former profession motorcyclist and more recently coach, has died of COVID. He was a stalwart anti-vaxxer, and it cost him his life. In one of the last messages he sent his sister before being admitted to ICU, he admitted that he was "afraid". He had suddenly been given one of his greatest life lessons. "Spending a lot of time on Twitter, etc. radicalized me to the extreme. I wish I had been vaccinated." RIP Jorge.

According to a lot of stories, but I'll post this one, Mikel and his wife thought that COVID was just a "political game." Now Mikel is dead and his wife Christina has regrets and is urging everyone to get vaccinated. Christina says, "We thought the vaccine was rushed. We thought it was more about money and power than about Americans and protecting the people." Mikel served as a federal firefighter, working out of the Naval Air Station Base in Coronado until just a few months ago. He was born and raised in San Diego County, but his opposition to recent California politics drove the family to move out of state. “We honestly thought that COVID was mostly political,” said Lowe said. “Your life isn’t worth thinking this is because of the president, or this is because of the governor,” she told KNSD. “Because once you’re gone, none of that matters.” Indeed.
