Reminds me of the time I drove my Mom 100 miles to see an old friend, who was now in a rest home. Emily was in her 80's and was one of the nicest, most caring, ladylike, pleasant people you could find. It was a great visit, and somehow Emily's enhanced vocabulary was not mentioned on the way home. I'm guessing rest home vocabulary has changed since Emily's time, and it will continue to change. Remember when you couldn't say hell on TV? We could watch people being shot, stabbed, clubbed and burned alive, but you couldn't say hell.
