For a start there is the narcissistic selfishness involved, failing to see how vaccination is an act of compassion and human empathy to minimise the impact on hospitals and vulnerable people. This is one of the reasons that I will never accept service from any nurse that refuses the vaccination. They obviously are not invested enough in the science, and they never have any good reason NOT to get the vaccine, except Freedum or lies about science. This tells me that they are lacking in some competency, as you mentioned.
FTIW, I have also seen a lot of nurses and nurse's aides smoking on their breaks. Go figure.🙄
