According to this obituary and this obituary, Kenneth and Kay died within 5 days of each other. Kenneth was a vigilant anti-vaxxer, but he redeems himself in the end telling everyone to get vaccinated because it's not worth the pain. If this doesn't convince you to get vaccinated, nothing will.
