Last year, Thanksgiving heralded in a Christmas surge of COVID and flu because people were thinking all was well and COVID is over. There is a propensity for a Dejavu ending to 2023 as well if people don't vaccinate and use some caution.

Hopefully SAVvers are aware and know to ask guests to test before visiting the elderly or coming to gatherings indoors that make everyone more vulnerable, but can be deadly for some. I still have long COVID. Anyone who comes to my house knows why I am still being stringent... but your health and welfare is worth it too, is it not?
