The next freedom stealing these mother f*ckers will do is ban contraceptives. They already have the legislation ready for the next state legislative sessions. They are creating a church state. They need the birth rate to go up, especially the white birth rate, to stop the country from becoming a majority brown skinned country and have enough of us to do the shit jobs and fight their wars they profit from. They want to control society with Old Testament Law ruled by religious fanatics/grifters so the billionaires can continue to rape us economically.
Crack down on the sperm unloaders. Raise child support. Mandatory snipping for repeat offenders. A helluva lot of men have spewed forth children they never took care of. Mandate THEIR bodies.
Right now I’m at my wits end with these anti-abortion assholes. let’s see, in just today on FB, I’ve been called a slut, a free-loader, and inhabited by the devil because I suggested that if women are forced to have children against their will, then that states government needs to pony up and pay for the raising of that child.
Those kinds of comments only further proves that these sanctimonious assholes don’t give one single damn about the fetus. I’m so fired up right now that I can’t even….
The Supreme Court has too much power. The judges know they can do anything they want and don't have to answer to anyone. When they come up with a wrong-headed, politically partisan ruling, you can't appeal the case to a higher court!
Also, Supreme Court judges, unlike senators, governors and presidents, cannot be voted out of office. If you want a Supreme Court judge out of power, your only real option is to wait a few decades for that judge to die of old age.
It's been extremely entertaining today eavesdropping on the freedumb warrior's conversations as they worry this bone and fight amongst themselves in an attempt to reconcile their Qristo-fascism with their 'my body my choice' thing. Round peg, square hole, not a lot of brain cells. 😂 SO glad I forgot to have children.

you realize only about two percent of all abortions are due to rape, incest or medical risks right? and you know those people will not be affected by these new changes right?
literally the only time an abortion should be tolerated is IF it's rape, medical risk or a special circumstance. anyone who has an abortion because of irresponsibility, I have no sympathy for them and they can easily still get an abortion and go celebrate it like they did something noble in NYC, Chicago or any other Democratic city. all this law is changing is that it's allowing abortion laws to be conducted at the state level instead of a federal right.
@Crossborder Savita is the absolute reason that a nation full of Catholics finally got wise. I mourn her loss, thought she’d make a difference for many zealots. But, no, she was brown and across the ocean. So fuck her. I really wonder what doctors are going to do here. She died because they feared they’d be held liable. They watched her rot to death because nobody was decent enough to risk jail. How will it be any different here? It won’t be. Doctors better fucking stop voting Republican. Fucking selfish assholes. If the pandemic didn’t stop them, will this?
@DeathofRats-BadgeHoorMaroon Considering US Catholics and Evangelicals were meddling in the Irish referendum, I have no doubt they will step into overdrive to prevent anyone getting any sort of conscience. I mean look at our own clown here who starts parroting their talking points.
That being said, I think it also helped in Ireland that Tuam was exposed putting the lie that the Church was ever remotely interested in being "pro-life" and gave a flying fuck about babies. These stories should be front and center considering Alito's nonsense about a " domestic supply of adoptable infants".
Zero chance of that. They can easily say "I truthfully meant everything I said at the time, then the case was brought before me, I considered the detailed arguments they made, and I was convinced".
There's no way to prove she ACTUALLY lied, even though we know she did.
Not only that, if you listen closely, Kavanaugh and Barrett NEVER answered if they would overrule Roe. All they said was, "It's precedent. We should respect precedent. We should have a super-good reason for overruling precedent." Well, selling out to a miscreant like Trump to score the topmost possible position in your career path is a pretty good reason, don't you think?
I don't know if anybody else noticed this at the time, but Amy Coney Barrett looked real nervous in public appearances during the entire time of the confirmation process, from her nomination on. I got the strong feeling she had some cozy one-to-one convos with Psycho Donnie and unlike Kavanaugh, maybe had enough of a conscience that it worried her. Maybe she worried what was going to happen when her lies were outed.
Since they testified/lied under oath so blatantly, they should be impeached.
As far as I know, no Supreme Court judge has been impeached within my lifetime. Do you know if there is any precedent for impeachment of SCOTUS judges? I'm totally in favor of it but I don't know how easy it is to actually do.

@perlinator The only Supreme Court justice ever impeached was Samuel Chase in 1804, a member of the Federalist Party (conservatives at the time). He was charged with refusal to dismiss biased jurors, excluding defence witnesses in two politically-sensitive cases, and continually promoting his political party from the bench.
Eight charges were brought against him. In the Senate trial, the majority voted to remove him, however they did not achieve the required two-thirds majority on any charge. Chase resumed his duties until he died in 1811.
Several lower court judges have been impeached and removed from the bench throughout history.
Why does Collins think her 'aw shucks' moment is real? Either she's goddamn naive or she thinks everyone is stupid.
Everyone knew Kavanaugh lied. Drunks always lie.
For Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), the GOP lawmaker who cast the deciding vote for Justice Brett Kavanaugh after being assured he’d uphold Roe, the realization that she may have been played by two nominees apparently came as a shock.
“If this leaked draft opinion is the final decision and this reporting is accurate, it would be completely inconsistent with what Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh said in their hearings and in our meetings in my office,” she said Tuesday.
@jvraines seems like she's right, since the people of Maine keep reelecting her

@Kathmandu Television producers do not let things they do not want into shots, and Joe Scarborough is not a liberal (he was a Republican congressman from FL-1, now replaced by Matt Gaetz). That was in the shot because Scarborough wanted it there.
@Anymouse Dude, first of all, not interested in going back and forth with a Teamate(?) I struck a nerve with you for some reason, not sure why, how, don't care. It doesn't matter which way Joe Schmo leans, that has nothing to do with what I'm saying. Joe doesn't own the network. Is MSNBC a right leaning conglomerate? There's higher ups that SHOULD have stopped that. If your not part of the solution, than your part of the problem.
Haha, McConnell's a deer in the headlight today over this, his main issue being "WHO'S THE LEAKER??!!" Right on cue when he was done talking, Thune from South Dakota steps up to the podium to drum up panic over parents' control of their kids' education.
Au contraire, they are right on cue. Divert attention to the leak and avoid all discussion of abortion. Because they know there are scads of Republican women who, push come to Supreme shove, will abandon them over this.
@Mary Hilton Given how Trump was trounced in Maine while Collins trounced her democrat opponent, she sure seems to know what people in Maine want from her. My take on her is that she's not stupid or evil. She's probably a pretty decent lady. The problem is that she's afraid to do the right thing half the time and makes her inane sounding statements to excuse not doing the right thing.
I'll say this. If I went to sleep tonight and woke up on Nov 6, 2024 to somehow find that Susan Collins had been elected President of the US, I'd be like "huh, that's interesting" then go get some breakfast. It wouldn't be an Amber Heard in bed moment like if it were DeSantis.
Twelve states will have total bans the second the opinion releases. They’d already drafted laws that will trigger the bans, so, obviously, they knew the fix was in: Mississippi, Texas, Idaho, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah.
Texas also clamped down on bc pills coming into the state. And that’s because medical abortions are the most common. So if they can keep bc pills out, they will. Anyone that can get a scrip for regular bc should do it so that we can amass up supplies. BC can be used like plan B. Also, the Mexican cartels were just given a massive fucking gift because running meds across state lines will be more valuable than heroin. Theres a reason many in the R mafia are on board with this. A lot of very rich people make hella money off of mafia. Fact.
Visualize a map and see just how big of a geographic area these states create in the middle of the country. TX, LA, MS, KY, TN, MO, AR, OK. A lot of women a lot further than a 5-6 hour drive from legal abortion. Kansas still has legal on demand abortion up to 22 weeks; however there is a ballot issue up Aug 2 that would change that.
Wonder how all the tech companies that moved from CA to TX feel about their state now?
@Malo They feel they love their tax break but will fly the occasional woman out for an abortion. Still saving vast sums of cash while helping to pay to rape democracy. Some have even said their employees can ask to move! How lovely! But they won’t. They could CRIPPLE Rs overnight and yet Google, Disney, on and on and on. Still taking the $ and saying “meh”.
At my local library, I noticed that the wait list for its copies of "The Handmaid's Tale" is now about three months.

I say we crack down harder on rape and incest in the age without Roe V Wade.

This is a fascinating interview, puts a lot in perspective. Abortion was NOT an evangelical issue until Falwell got hold of it.

Protests in Minneapolis today and tomorrow. I'll be there, hopefully it won't "be wild."
