Anecdote: received follow up call for a scheduled mammogram. Answered several general questions about previous mammograms, age, etc. Last question was, "Are you vaccinated for Covid-19?" and I could hear her stealing herself for the answer. "Yes, I am." Silence. "OK thank you." You could hear the relief in her voice that I didn't go into some kind of diatribe.
The idea of this thread is to post images or content that illustrate the world around us and how it defines the present, the pandemic or times we find ourselves in. Yes, that's a broad range of subject matter.I'm here in the Big city of Montana, Billings. I've had some interesting times here off and on since the early 70's.
My visit is for a med appointment. I'll make this briefer than my usual long-winded comments. The reason is because is a problem either with the software or my undependable internet connection (probably the connection). Whatever the reason, my comment content has been erased or lost much of what I intended to post (frustrating). I'm typing offline to copy and paste to the forum when done. The only real issues I've had here in Billings are with the medical center. But that's perhaps a story for another time. Overall a much more competent level of care than many small town medical services. Admittedly the demographics here have changed much over the decades. Here's a sign I saw upon entering one portion of the somewhat sprawling complex. This photo was taken with permission of the medical centers sentinels or entry point personal.
@WTF Vax Up Out here in the boondocks, a lot of roadway signage is shot full of holes usually by shotgun blasts.
This is an open reservation with lots of non-natives living here. They own all the shabby little businesses and control the local govt. They can lease land for 1-3 dollars an acre. But many of these Americans let their animals out on native lands without permission or payment. This is an old, illegal but often used technique called encroachment which is a method by which many native lands have been stolen.
I and a cousin went to the tribal council to complain about this encroachment on our lands. The council sent someone to the area and reported. "We didn't see anything." The land is covered with cattle dung so it's obvious the cattle are there in large numbers. I'm certain aliens didn't do a fly-by and drop tons of cattle dung on the land. This and other tribal governments are equivalent or less than 3rd world similars.
Every now and then someone gets charged with cattle rustling for stealing animals. ha ha

The TITLE of a forum thread has a limited number of characters, as would be expected. The text of a post does not appear to have a character limit. (I wouldn't post the complete text of "War and Peace", however.)
Posted this earlier.
I'm not falling for your hearts hack again lol. I'll see it have it somewhere.
this clown passed through town last summer. I did a lengthy rant about it elsewhere.
I'm tempted to repost it here.
Call him! He'll pull over.

I've got a doctor's appointment this afternoon - I'm sure that there's some interesting signage at the university medical centre I go to!
[Ok it looks as though it will work this time]
