"Our data support that infected people would benefit from vaccination. Results also indicate that hybrid immunity results in superior antibody responses and infection-naïve people would need a booster dose earlier than previously infected people. Mental diseases are associated with less efficient responses to vaccination."
Here's an interesting thread about how quickly it's mutating and dodging immune response. Get vaccinated, stay up to date on your shots, wear an N95 and avoid crowds. Winter will be interesting. https://twitter.com/EllingUlrich/status/1571051885506985984?s=20&t=GPfXM84FRlzAnLt0lvB_ZQ
Thank you for posting this article. I have bipolar disorder and I usually have to try to find out for myself how my mental illness affects my physical health. I didn’t read all of the article as I don’t understand most of it but I tried to read about the parts that affect me. Would like to know more about why there is a less efficient response to vaccinations, and if I should be getting my boosters at the same time as other at risk people, eg with asthma etc. I read that I should be getting them at the same time, but I haven’t been invited at the same time.
i skimmed through the study. Some of it is a little over my head but the conclusion in the abstract is clear: vaccinations are a gold idea even if you were previously infected.
The problem is some assholes on social media cling to “I have natural immunity” bullshit.
