I am very grateful to Vaxman that this site exists. I also appreciate the hard work and dedication of Vaxxylady and HCAman.
I'm sure that digging up new stories that meet this site's criteria (anti-vaxxers who publicly spread misinformation before getting seriously ill from covid) can't be easy. I would like people to quit complaining that there have not been a lot of brand new stories lately. If you want to see more "fresh meat" then help find it yourself! Vaxman would appreciate any help he can get!
If you make a concerted effort and don't find anything, then you may come to appreciate how difficult it is. Lots of people here have been badgering Vaxman to obtain "fresh meat", but no one is stopping you from helping out.
It is an honor and a privilege to be on this site. We should all act like it. There are plenty of public spaces these days to behave badly in. This is not it. Anyone having a bad day can get tons of support here. Save the acting out for some seditious asshole in your world who really deserves it! You will have a good story to tell and we will all applaud you. Peace.
I love this site. And all love the family we have become. No secret that my brother and sister have not spoke to me in 6 months because I am a shedder, so ya’ll feel like family. My pet peeve is people bitching about the posts, especially if you are not helping by sending money. The amount I have saved on not buying books is enormous. I have to learn not to blurt out , going off topic, but I read something in the news, and want to share with my “family”. Vaxxy Lady I will try my best to stay focused and on topic, I promise
Hear, Hear! I must also confess that the off-topic posts are indeed distracting. That is why there is a forum. Take care y'all!
While Covid cases are trending upwards, it seems that the deaths and hospitalizations are remaining low which is a good thing.
I’m guilty of asking for “fresh meat” without considering that I might be badgering Vaxman. I have always been conflicted about whether I’m doing the right thing by asking because I‘m a vegetarian. You have shown me the light and I will stop begging. Thank you!
Agreed. Vaxman and @Vaxxylady manage to run this site while having lives to live.. They have created something here that is, imo, historic. fresh meat is awesome, but I would prefer to know that the people running the site aren’t doing so to the detriment of their emotional health and personal relationships. So while I’m hungry for fresh meat, I won’t starve. It’ll just make it taste better when it’s finally served! Thank you both for this strangely beautiful space you’ve created.
As long as the orange menace walks among us, we won’t run out of material. If he’s foolish enough to try a run in 24, I will be doing everything in my power to defeat the orange scourge! Bring deathsantis along and anyone else and my job won’t be finished until after the election. Organize and get out!! Our democracy depends on you!
I think we're all going to have to accept good things come to an end. Not that a virus that has killed millions and has killed so well because of insidious propaganda is good, but the schadenfreude aspect was. But most of the AVers have wised up and clean up their Facebooks before dying so finding them is no longer easy. They'll die just the same. And we'll all know that 45 year old in the obits who posted Tucker Carlson crap likely died of covid. They're not really fooling anyone.
Agreed!
I believe most on here appreciate the effort of the team to provide new freedumb material or we would not return or pay either a monthly or annual fee. I have paid an annual fee. I do not appreciate your comment on my post, which I posted in fun, which is something you may have missed. I do not believe I violated any great rule in the post and if I have I am sure they will let me know. Like I wrote in reply to your post......just don't read my posts if you do not like them.....adios....have a nice day!!!!
In addition, I keep reading "complaints" or questions about how/why some of the recent SAV posts were from deaths that occurred last year. Sometimes, you start a post and then something else more "exciting" or crazy comes along, so a post sits in drafts and forgotten about for a bit. Also, sometimes the "real world" gets in the way, like, traveling for work, or a big project is due, family obligations, etc. Grabbing an older, unpublished post is a way to keep the posts coming while not neglecting "real world" responsibilities. Okay, that's it for me today. I'm going to go prep my Sunday dinner so I can enjoy this day with my hubby (again, it's NOT Vaxman).
Cheers to you all and I hope everyone had a safe, fun, and COVID-free weekend!
I really appreciate this and thank you for your kind words.
Personally, I've been stepping back a lot because...well, personal reasons. I stopped writing because it's emotionally grueling, even just moderating comments, light editing of the posts, and backend work takes it's toll on me. I can't speak for Vaxman or HCA guys, but when I was writing it took me two days to research, write a post, edit pictures, format it, etc. It takes a lot. We (Vaxman, myself, and HCA guys) all have careers, families, homes to manage, and desperately need free time, too.
There’s also plenty in the archives to look at. Anyone can go back to the beginning from when the site started. It will be “new to you!”
Perhaps it's time we all moved on. I would miss the community. At the same time, marvelling over human stupidity as a sport has brought out something in me that I don't like very much.
And who knows....maybe SAV and the HCA have already reached their limits in terms of maximum possible effect. How do you convince people who are clearly hoping for doomsday.
Reports of less people dying from an easily preventable death is a good thing. Sadly there is always going to be those that died due to a malicious, and concentrated misinformation campaign.
