All right, this is OT, but I felt like sharing... I'm sitting here, and I felt like sharing this... I'm a retired military(I'm not fishing for "thank you for your service" statements... just stating it) government employee, and I noticed I see a lot of "living scared of living" B.S. crap.
My thing is this: I'm a 50 yr old overweight former submariner, and I was trained on risk management, and that means for me mitigating risks... For me, that means buying multiple tests, and tests every two days out of my own pocket, and being the only person who still wears a mask every day (I'm a big guy, who's been there since I was Active Duty, so no one says anything about it)'; however, everyone who gets COVID-19 wears it after quarantining, now.
The reason I'm writing this post is to answer that statement.
I'm not not living scared; I'm living cautious. That's how I was trained. Make sure you know where your nearest fire extinguisher is(behind my chair in the game room), protect yourself, so you can protect others(tests ever other day, since I work with Public Relations)... For me, that's the same thing.
The reason I'm writing this is to tell what I did today, and ask what others did today. I went out with the guys I work with to breakfast. We do this once a month(I am the only one who wears a mask(until I eat), but they never say a word about it.;). After that, I went home, drank a lot of Bailey's and Cognac, played Grim Dawn and drunk-screamed commands at Alexa(I finally broke down and downloaded it)... Not living in fear, I don't think.
Thanks for reading this far... Please, tell me what you did, while living in fear... :) These are the three songs I screamed for(my favorites).
Yes, I didn't realize the ironic aspect about the first song... I've loved Bad Religion since the 90's.
I listened to podcasts while working on a mosaic light shade in my glass studio.
