Missouri Republicans Introduce Bills to Charge Women Who Receive Abortions With Murder
Republicans in both the Missouri State House and Senate have introduced bills for the legislative session that begins in January that would charge women who receive abortions with murder. Missouri has a total ban on abortion on all stages of pregnancy with limited exceptions. The new bills maintain those bans and add the ability for prosecutors to charge the women receiving abortions with homicide, with exceptions if the woman terminates a pregnancy after being coerced or threatened, or if a physician provides an abortion to save the life of the woman.
"To me, it’s just about protecting a baby’s life like we do every other person’s life," said Republican state Rep. Bob Titus, who sponsored one of the bills. "The prosecution is just a consequence of taking an innocent human life."
A pregnant Texas woman asked a court for permission to get an abortion, despite a ban. What's next?
Kate Cox, a mother of two in Texas, became pregnant again in August but soon after learned devastating news: Her baby has a fatal condition and is likely to either be stillborn or die shortly after birth.
Whether Cox, who is 20 weeks pregnant, can legally receive an abortion under narrow exceptions to the state's ban is now in limbo while the Texas Supreme Court considers her case. The court, which is made up of nine Republican justices, gave no timetable on when it might rule.

Texas has been trying to do this for a very long time; the latest attempt was 2021. It did not pass, but the laws there are so stringent that it was hardly a "win." They spun it as one though, so they could say 'hey, we can punish you severely, but at least for now we won't execute you!' Jul 15, 2022 - Montana GOP lawmaker Brad Tschida: Womb has 'no specific purpose' to a woman's 'life or well-being' As millions of Americans protest restrictions that preclude abortions, even when the life of a woman is at risk, Montana state Rep. Brad Tschida (R) is arguing that a woman's womb “serves no specific purpose to her life or well-being. ”https://www.greatfallstribune.com/story/news/2022/07/12/montana-gop-rep-uterus-a-sanctuary-that-serves-no-purpose-to-womens-own-life/65371946007/
Florida House introduced18 abortion bills in one session. Dem Rep. Scott Randolph suggested during a floor debate that his wife ought to incorporate her uterus. If women's wombs were businesses, Republicans would have no interest in regulating them, Randolph was saying. The Republican House leadership responded by admonishing Randolph for his language and banning the word "uterus" from being spoken from the floor. https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story/news/2011/04/02/cerabino-florida-house-gop-s/7320898007/
"Hey , we may be thrilled abortions are banned but we LOVE YOU WOMEN! Well, at least we aren't going to try you for murder... yet. Go us! Hey did you hear tRUMP say "us" is the same as "US?" He is so smart.'

Why Texas’ Kate Cox is leaving her home state for medical care
Kate Cox will receive the reproductive medical care she needs — but it won’t be in her own home state. After hearing her case, I want to kick the shit out of Paxton... a man who can decide the law, threaten Doctors and thwart a medical procedure, a life... and her reproductive future as well. https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/texas-kate-cox-leaving-home-state-medical-care-rcna129123
