What was those other failed platforms? "Frank Speech", "Truth".
Earlier this week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene declared that she doesn't care about having access to a "communist" and "godless" platform like Twitter: "Twitter is nothing. Twitter is powerless." Two days later, she held a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol demanding that her Twitter account be reinstated.
I am often astounded when listening to these supposed national leaders, specifically the GOP. Their level of ignorance, immaturity, and bigotry is beyond the ken. I went to second-third rate schools and believe sincerely I, and many, many others am able to think in a more salient manner than these "Leaders". I imagine some of these politicians know much better than the hogwash they peddle. They are pandering to the ignorance of their constituents for their votes. Their votes give them access to power and the opportunity to plunder the treasury. Isn't the key to solving the mystery almost always involve "following the money"? This in reality makes our government function, in part at least, as a kleptocracy.
We need leaders who are honorable and forthright. We need those with the moral fiber to be incorruptible perhaps like the idea of Elliot Ness and his "Untouchables". Also, they need to be able to think straight which is a challenge when your mind is full of religious confabulation and mythomania. Ethics, please.
Personally, I am willing to acquiesce to the idea that there is a higher power. However, whatever that may be in my estimation is vastly beyond our /my understanding/comprehension; Copernicius and others pointed out, (Aristarchus of Samos, an ancient Greek astronomer had formulated similar eighteen centuries previously). man or earth is not the center of the universe. Copernicius and others were labeled heretics by the Catholic church for their enlightened discoveries. God, if it exists, I speculate, would have little to do with the affairs of humans.
So where am I going with this? We can't depend on religious doctrine as the standard by which we conduct and govern ourselves.
In my experience/estimation, ethics need to be central to our leadership. This is why we have, supposedly the "Separation of Church and State". Ethics as an intellectual pursuit can be simple to very complex depending on the issue you wish to apply them to. Theocracy is what these right wing nuts are proposing. anyway, I'll end the rambling here.
