Time for my coffee-fueled wordy meandering rant.

Places I once was interested in visiting or perhaps relocating to, are crossed off the list in spite of the value I once imagined there. FL Covid treatment/attitudes are unacceptable to me as are the many pockets of white nationalists scattered across the country. The population-dense areas, usually blue, in several states are surrounded by xtian theocratic rural areas. I prefer nature but living in or near cities one finds safety from hostile militant and hateful rubes.

I wonder if at some point the US will fracture into separate ununited states as in Europe. The idealistic divisions are reaching dimensions and depths near "irreconcilable".

I can't say I've ever known communism specifically while socialism seems sensible and necessary in some circumstances. I'm not opposed to working communally to support a functional community.

I'm pretty much a peon in the capitalistic framework. Areas I'm qualified to work effectively in I often don't get the opportunity to unless I'm willing to kowtow and compromise key elements of myself to a corporate or political brute. While I may have the documentation to work in areas of more worth or pay, I usually am instead directed to other areas such as janitorial. ha ha. Yah That's happened in real life more than once.

Too bad too sad for those John Doe types like me. Then there is being set-up to fail wherein appearance to provide opportunity is followed by no support or guidance within the framework. When you are not able to produce the work product due to intentional non-cooperation. You'll get let go and the company may say "We tried to give x the opportunity but he/she didn't measure up". "see we were right ll along about these people".

The deck is stacked. The rules and policies are toothless within many entities. they are only paper decorations found in the Corps file cabinet to appear they are in compliance with laws. You have to have a huge bank account to ever mine the benefits and accommodations that are written since the corps will fight you in a legal arena to subvert the policies, safety, and remedies the law is supposed to provide. I was surprised by how vicious and vindictive some of the 'Big People" can be when one tries to assert their rights. If you lose your case, or sometimes even if you win, you're out the door in a hot second regardless. There is or little point to writing these laws as they are often useless, it looks good, processes.

Many of the workplace remedies provided are a pretense to equality and fair treatment. Even if you win a battle with the powers that be, they will find another avenue to crush you further down the line.

Eventually, Fl is going to be covered with water due to global warming. Crocodiles and pet pythons gone feral will rule the swamps.

The bottom line I've arrived at is you have rights and privileges in this country right up until the time you try to utilize them. For the most part, those worker rights/protections disintegrate at that point. Entities in charge of implementing the laws select a scant few cases that they are likely to win to maintain any appearance of validity and necessity.

Florida is too damn hot for me anyway lol.

Complain about schools "indoctrinating" kids, then literally try to indoctrinate them. Teach kids about all the (very valid) terrible things that happened under communism, keep emphasizing that it was COMMUNISM that caused it, so that when the kids are adults they won't vote for anyone falsely smeared as a commie/socialist.

Fuck DeSantis. I have completely given up worrying about Trump to instead worry about DeSantis. He's dangerous in a way that Trump never was. DeSantis would have found a way to successfully overturn democracy. Trump was too stupid.
