My father in law is being intubated today with covid. I couldn't convince my in-laws to get the bivalent booster; they were worried it would make them sick a couple of days and they wouldn't be able to take care of their dogs. Covid is still out there, and its still deadly; if you haven't gotten the bivalent booster yet, do it as soon as possible, preferably now.

While we're on the subject of vaccines, Biden signed legislation recently that made the shingles vaccine free to anyone on Medicare as of Jan. 1, 2023. Everyone over 65 should get 2 shingles vaccines. A single bout of shingles can be incredibly painful.
I love it!!! Gonna look for some for myself!
Is that the same thing as the Omicron booster?
I got two Moderna shots for the original strain of covid, then two boosters, and then the omicron-specific booster. That's a total of 5 covid shots. Did I miss any?
I'm so sorry. I hope he gets better quickly.
Update: I found out he hasn't been intubated yet. He is in the ICU, and they are trying to keep his oxygen level up with a CPAP for now.
I'm sorry to hear this. We should all be smarter by now.
