I don't understand how some people who are so cavalier about covid are so much more concerned about shingles or monkeypox. Neither of those are pleasant, but they usually do not pose the risk that covid does. I don't want people to be less concerned about monkeypox or shingles, but I want people to have more cautious about covid. This piece highlights some reasons to continue to be concerned about covid even if you think you're recovered from it and it was no more serious than a flu.
