I finally came down with a respiratory illness - my first in 34 months. I've taken several tests, all negative, so I assume it's a cold or maybe RSV which is going around in my area. It's not too bad so far: started with a runny nose and sore neck (swollen lymph nodes) then progressed into nasal congestion, fatigue, loss of appetite, and a dry cough. I'm on day 4 now.
I WFH so no worry about going to the office. I'm staying home until I am symptom-free and will mask after that for a few days.
Came back to my work after my bout with Covid in September to an office full of sick hacking coworkers testing negative. It took out about 5 people all sitting around me and I was thinking "Oh, crap. I just got back from Covid." Missed me but here we are 2 months later and one is still hacking. They said they had a bad Covid case a year ago and never really got over that cough to now have whatever this crap going around is.
Okay so most of you guys know what I do for a living and I’m telling y’all now that there is a shit-ton “not covid“ out there right now. It’s a daily miracle I’ve never gotten sick.
I hope you're better now. I haven't been ill since a mystery beatdown early March 2020. Take care!
Was sick several weeks ago, for 2 weeks. Still have the dry cough. Son had to get prednisone. Both tested neg for C19 repeatedly.
Feel better! I have heard more coughing in the last several weeks than I’ve heard in the last two years.
