Seen on FB today. This 88-year-old lady I follow just can't figure out how on earth she got it after a week of celebrating her birthday maskless in a couple of bars and also restaurants. Been talking about her sinuses and pinkeye all week, two negative tests and insisting that it wasn't the big C. Third test proved her wrong and now she's all like... I'm just waiting for someone to point out that a week ago she was dancing in a packed pub. People really don't get how fucking contagious this thing is. Oh well...
Jeez, 88 years old with blood cancer and spending time in packed bars? She’s lucky she was vaxxed and boosted or she’d be dead otherwise. I hope she realizes that, at least.
She's on day 2 of Paxlovid and has really sore eyes and body aches. Her co-morbidity is a blood cancer/anemia. So even though vaxxed and boosted, that birthday bar crawl week was a really bad idea. This is really cramping her social life!
Seems it's mostly attacking her eyes, so that's fun.

She's now saying the boosters don't work. 🙄
The vaccine including boosters doesn’t prevent infection. Apparently 99% of the American public is too stupid to understand how vaccines work. Or how infectious disease works.
